TOURIST & VISITOR INFORMATION

Plattsburgh is a scenic location with lots of nature reserves, parks and trails.

Some places to visit would include: Ausable Point Park, Cumberland Bay State Park and Point-Au-Roche State Park. Beautiful water view, picnic tables and play grounds. Entrance fee of 6-8$ per vehicle as a Day Pass.

Other places would be: Ausable Chasm (Scenic canyon), Hiking Trails on Point Au Roche (free entry) Rulf's Orchard (U-pick, Petting Zoo and Play Area for Kids), Whiteface Mountain (Skiing during the winter and stunning drive up lookout during the summertime), and Lake Placid (about 1 hour away from Plattsburgh).

Some basic Kosher foods can be purchased at the kosher aisles in Market 32, Walmart and Hannaford.

Frozen kosher meat and chicken can sometimes be found in Market 32's freezer section.

Minyanim:

There is currently no daily Minyan in Plattsburgh.  The closest Minyanim are an hour or more away in Montreal, Burlington, VT. or Lake George/Saratoga, NY.
